Harecourt United Reformed Church can trace its history back to 1648.
For the first few years a non-conformist group met in Pancras Church in Soper Lane in the City of London. They continued
to meet in a number of various premises in the area until 1670 when a chapel was built in Hare Court, off Aldersgate Street.
In 1855 much of the population of the City of London had migrated to the leafy suburbs and the church decided it should
re-locate to one of these suburbs. A church building was purchased in St Paul's Road, Canonbury on the corner of
Alma Road.
The church kept the name Hare Court and this building was destroyed by a fire in December 1982.
The present building was opened in1992.
